Ten facts about me and the blog

I am a retired academic woman.
The word “confabulation” is not negative, it just points to the human ability to create a stories.
You don’t know what my political opinions are. I am writing from an academic perspective, and academics can separate their personal view from what they perceive as facts because they are trained in using theoretic cognition.
I explain everything cultural from a cognitive evolutionary perspective: how the human brain creates this or that cultural phenomenon.
My research uses Merlin Donald’s theory of the evolution of the human mind, the predictive brain approach, and the decoupling theory (decoupling memory from sensory information) as the basic and essential cultural activity. Dissociative people can do it too.
Culture does not mean ‘high culture’; it means the semiotic environment that humans create for themselves.
You do not know what my political opinions are, I want to make sure of this so I repeat it. I can have political opinions that contradict my academic opinions.
